1. Open Command Prompt
Press Win + R

NOTE: BestPack machines (C-Series and E-Series) may have one of the following IP addresses:
192.168.1.3
192.168.1.4
192.168.1.5
192.168.1.180
The example IP address used in this article is 192.168.1.3.
2. Use the Ping Command
Type the following and press Enter:
3. Understand the Results
Successful communication:
Reply from 192.168.1.3: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
This means:
The PLC is powered ON
Network cable and switch are OK
PC and PLC are on the same network
No communication:
Request time out.
Possible causes:
PLC is powered OFF
Wrong IP address
Different subnet
Ethernet cable or switch issue
Firewall blocking ICMP (less common for PLCs)
4. Ping Continuously (Useful for Troubleshooting)
ping 192.168.1.3 -t
Stop it with Ctrl + C.
5. Check Your PC IP Address
Make sure your PC is on the same subnet as the PLC:
ipconfig
Example:
PLC:
192.168.1.3PC:
192.168.1.15Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
