Bestpack machines equipped with a MicroLogix 850 PLC are compatible with Connected Components Workbench (CCW). Rockwell Automation provides a free license for the standard version of CCW. If a contractor or customer requires access to the machine’s PLC program, the software can be downloaded directly from Rockwell Automation by following the instructions below.

Step 1: Access the Rockwell Automation website and create a personal account to sign in.

Step 2: Use the search function and enter “Connected Components Workbench”, then press Enter.

Step 3: Select the first result titled “Connected Components Workbench – Connected Components Workbench Downloads.”

Step 5: Click the Download icon located on the right-hand side of the page.

Step 6: After clicking the download icon, multiple download options will be displayed. Only the option listed under Configuration Software is required: “Connected Components Workbench Standard – Multiple Languages Edition v23.00.00.” All other options are optional and not required for standard use. Once selected, click the Download button located in the top-right corner of the page.

Step 7: Select the “Direct Download” option.

Step 8: An application file with a randomly generated filename will be downloaded. Right-click the file and select Run as administrator.

Step 9: Once the software is successfully installed on the computer, a Connected Components Workbench icon will appear on the desktop, indicating that the installation was completed correctly.

When you open the application, the CCW home screen will be displayed, confirming that the software is installed and ready for use.
