INTRODUCTION
Lubricating your machine's components is a crucial maintenance task to ensure its optimal performance and longevity. In this article, we will guide you through the step-by-step process of properly lubricating your C-Series machine's Top Compression Rollers. Neglecting this preventive maintenance can lead to subpar performance and unnecessary wear and tear on the components that integrate the Top Compression Rollers section.
TOOLS
Tools needed
- Brush.
- Grease (Recommend: Lucas Heavy Duty Grease).
- Air gun.
- 10mm wrench.
HOW TO PERFORM THE LUBRICATION
In the following sections, we will outline the precise steps to follow for a successful lubrication process.
-
Ensure the machine is powered off for safety reasons.
-
Employ a 10mm wrench to loosen the four screws that secure the cover in the Sealing Area, then proceed to remove the cover.
-
Utilize a brush to apply grease evenly along the side rail, ensuring comprehensive coverage over the entire surface.
-
Utilize an air gun to remove dust from the Top Compression Rollers' belt and other mechanical components.
-
Reattach the cover to the Sealing Area.
-
Set the Manual Mode, access to the Maintenance mode on the HMI and activate the Top Compression Rollers function. This function will extend and retract the rollers' cylinder, facilitating the even distribution of grease on the side rails.
NOTE: If you notice an abnormal behavior when the Top Compression Rollers are working, you must check two things:
-
Air Pressure: The air regulator for the Top Compression Rollers, located on the pneumatic panel labeled "Air regulator for top compression roller of sealer," should be set to the recommended value of 50 psi. Please check the air regulator to ensure that the current air pressure on your machine matches the recommended setting.
Obstructions on the Side Rail: Verify that there are no obstructions such as dust or other foreign elements obstructing the side rails.
