Disabling Tape Monitoring on AS/AQ with DAS
Follow these steps to disable the tape monitoring feature temporarily:

Access the Home Menu: To begin, go to the home menu on your AS or AQ machine. You should see the home menu displayed on the screen.

Navigate to Tape Monitoring: Tape Monitoring (Tape Mntr) is the feature you need to disable. To get there, press the ESC key repeatedly until you reach the home menu.

Understanding Tape Monitoring Options:
- Both: This option monitors both the top and bottom tape heads.
- Top: Select this option to monitor only the top tape head.
- Bottom: Choose this option to monitor only the bottom tape head.
- Disabled: When you select this option, the monitoring feature is turned off for both the top and bottom tape heads. It will not count any boxes.

Press the TME Button: To disable tape monitoring temporarily, press the TME (Tape Monitoring Enable) button. The tape monitoring option will cycle through the options mentioned above.

Choose the Correct Section to Monitor: After pressing the TME button, select the section that is functioning correctly or that you want to monitor. If the sensors on the top tape head are damaged or malfunctioning, press TME and change the option to "Bottom." Conversely, if you only want to tape the top of the box and disable monitoring for the bottom tape head, press TME and change the option to "Top." If both the sensors on the top and bottom tape heads are damaged or malfunctioned, press TME and change the option to "Disabled."
