Introduction
On the rare occasion, the PLC may need to be reconfigured for the correct machine type. By default, it reverts to an MSD if there is a memory problem or latch up. This leads to a mismatch in data from what the HMI thinks it should be receiving and what the PLC is actually sending.
Problem indicators:
* Functions and timers are missing from the configuration menu.
* "Model: _____" under Machine Info is blank.
* The machine does not cycle correctly or at all.
* Machine functions do not work (kicker, upstream/ downstream, height/ width, wipe delay, etc.)
The Solution is to reset the machine info in the PLC through the HMI to represent the correct physical machine configuration.
Model is blank under Machine info.
Procedure:
1. Power Cycle machine: Either unplug, switch the breaker, or open and close the door. Do not 'Start' the machine again once it powers up.
2. On the HMI, navigate to Settings>WiFi>Access Point (AP) and Activate.
3. Once activated, the AP SSID will be shown with the webpage IP. On a laptop or cell phone, open the available WiFi networks and find the one with matching the SSID. If there is a password, use: Bestpack@1425
The Access Point is not connected to the Internet at this point, so most phones will want to switch networks automatically. Do not switch- 'Stay Connected'. Most Apple products take issue with this fact and won't connect at all. The configuration webpage is hosted locally on the HMI, so an internet connection is not required.
4. Once connected to the AP, open a web browser and enter: 192.168.4.1/admin in the address bar.
If there is warning about the security certificate, please disregard and continue to the site.
UN: admin
PW: bestpackadmin
5. The MQTT section can be ignored. Please complete the lower 'Machine Info' section: Machine Family, Variant, and Serial. Save.
6. Verify on the HMI that the Machine Info has been updated.
